Q3 2026 Highlights
October – 2026 Q3 Newsletter: Dundee Township
Funding from the Dundee Township Mental Health Board helps us provide services dedicated to Dundee Township residents, including treatment access, peer recovery support, overdose prevention, and community outreach.
Treatment Options and Prompt Access
We offer medications for opioid use disorder, including methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), and long-acting injections such as Sublocade, Brixadi, and Vivitrol. Our clinical team will help determine the appropriate treatment for you.
There is no waiting list for our opioid treatment program. We can arrange a methadone intake within 24–48 hours. For Suboxone, call us and we will schedule the next available appointment. Treatment begins following the required clinical assessment.
Support for Individuals and Families
We provide peer recovery support for Dundee Township clients and their families, including encouragement, recovery guidance, and help connecting with community resources. We have staff who assist Spanish-speaking patients and families. Mental health care and therapy for adolescents and adults are also available through Mathers Clinic. Call our team for help finding the services you need.
Naloxone and Overdose Prevention
During July–September 2026, our harm-reduction work provided 57 naloxone (Narcan) kits to Kane County clients. Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose. Call us for information about naloxone access and overdose-prevention education.
Community Events Coming Soon
We are planning community meetings and events about recovery, treatment access, harm reduction, and overdose prevention. Dates and locations will be posted here once confirmed. Residents, families, and community partners are welcome.
Introducing Cheryl Sleeting
Following Steve Anderson’s departure in September, Cheryl Sleeting has taken over the peer-support and community-outreach role. She is working with Joe Thomas and the Elgin team on community activities and looks forward to attending future Dundee Township meetings and meeting residents and local partners.

Peer Support Spotlight
Dundee Township clients are eligible for free peer support for recovery coaching, advocacy, and resource navigation. In Q3 2026, we served Dundee Township Clients through peer support, with a continued focus on overdose prevention and linkage to care.
